Testimonials

Hi I’m 37. I worked with Julia about a year ago and it was AWESOME!!! I learned sooooo much from her not just about eating and working out but also about myself. She showed me I am so much stronger then I ever thought I could be not just physically but also mentally. The biggest thing I learned from is not worry about what the scale says. I still struggle from time to time remembering that it is just a number. Well after my program with her was over I did good for a while but then I fell off the train. I will do good for a couple of weeks then bad for a couple of weeks and it just keeps going on and on like that. I am super excited to be doing this challenge with all of you I think this is just what I need to help keep me motivated and on the right track!

12 week client transformation

I’m a couple of weeks shy of 49 and have yo-yo’d for the past 20 years. My most recent success was losing 85 lbs in 2010….unfortunately, when my Dad had his stroke in August of last year, I reverted back to the old eating-for-comfort routine.
I’ve gained back 60 lbs in less than a year. Starting over AGAIN because of an event that happened this past Sunday night: I was in the grocery store with my Dad and saw a friend/Zumba instructor I hadn’t seen in about 6 months. I dodged her in an aisle so she wouldn’t see that I had gained much of my weight back. I was ashamed that I had let myself go.

My Dad – who is recovering from a stroke…you know, supposedly can’t think rationally – responds: “Damn, looks like the weight won.”
I was/am mortified and embarrassed that I can’t keep myself under control.
Then I saw Julia’s challenge and decided to give it a go. I swear, this is the last time….I’m tired of starting over!

Hi! I’m 48. I have been thin all my life until I hit about 36. I had my 3rd child & really started packing on the pounds after I quit smoking. I have been yo-yo dieting ever since. I’ve lost some here & there but always gained it back & then some. I need to lose 60 lbs. I used to want this so I could look good in my clothes but now more than ever I want it so I can be healthy & feel well & strong. I have been recently diagnosed w/ a muscle degenerative disease so in order to keep what muscle I do have I have to get in shape & stay there. My problem is I can’t seem to stick to anything for long. I am SO happy to be a part of this group & have y’all to be accountable to. Can’t wait to see where Julia takes each of us on this exciting journey!

Looking forward to this accountability! We all have different goals and at the end of the day it’s one day after another. I personally am looking forward to gaining some new habits that I can embrace long term. Slim down and strength up!
